This is why I got my daughter (Mike’s neice) her first set of bricks when she was 1 year old. We make towers on a regular basis together. Lego inspires abstract thought, creative thinking, etc…
And I agree! I’M NOT WORTHY. Best I ever did as a kid was a car with an engine with piston, working transmission, rack & pinion steering, etc. All from “Expert Lego” (for those of you who remember the predicessor to Technic)
