After a week of cease fire, they strike.

DSCN2733Anyone following the early days of my blog will know I’m dealing with a small raccoon problem. It’s been a week since I have heard from them, and I think just maybe they were lulling me in to a false sense of hope. Waiting quietly in the bushes for their next assault. From what I have read, raccoons can be stopped from climbing by a 45 degree angled barrier extending out from what they are climbing. So really, it made sense to me when we put our bird feeder out on a cast iron cafe table. There isn’t much to climb, and if you can, you have to overcome the table top to get to the feeder.

While rinsing a cup this morning a the kitchen sink, I discovered that these animal terrorists had over come this little problem. . . This weekend, and the chance to build the electrified bird feeder post, can’t come too soon.
